How to Qualify

To qualify for EAIEC, candidates must demonstrate both pedagogical expertise and ethical awareness to integrate AI responsibly into teaching and learning.

Legal & Ethical Foundations
Understand and apply the core principles of the EU AI Act, GDPR, and related frameworks with a focus on their impact in educational settings and student protection.

Ethical AI in Education
Translate AI ethics into practical guidance for classrooms and curricula, ensuring that AI tools are used transparently, fairly, and with respect for learners’ rights.

Bias, Inclusion & Diversity Awareness
Recognize and address risks of bias, discrimination, or exclusion in AI systems, promoting inclusive learning environments where technology supports all students.

Pedagogical Design for AI Literacy
Develop lesson plans, activities, or training modules that help learners critically engage with AI, fostering understanding beyond technical use toward ethical reflection.

Empowering Future Generations
Equip students and stakeholders with the knowledge and mindset to navigate an AI-driven society responsibly as learners, professionals, and citizens.

Certification Process

1. Training

The candidate completes a course focused on ethical AI integration in education, relevant legislation (such as the EU AI Act and GDPR), and pedagogical strategies for responsible use.

2. Examination

The candidate passes an evaluation that may include a test, teaching demonstration, or portfolio showing their ability to convey responsible AI principles to non-expert audiences.

3. Certification

Upon successful completion, the candidate is awarded the EAIEC credential as formal recognition of their competence in ethical AI education.

4. Stay Certified

Certification is valid for 3 years. Renewal can be achieved through continued practice, peer-reviewed activities, or reassessment.
