For AI developers and engineers working in the design, development, or deployment of AI systems.
CRAID is intended for professionals who build AI models, integrate AI into products, or contribute to algorithmic decision-making systems. Whether you’re working in a startup, corporate R&D, or academia — this certification validates your ability to develop AI that is legally compliant, technically sound, and ethically responsible.

How to Qualify

To be eligible for CRAID, individual applicants must demonstrate knowledge and practical awareness in key areas of responsible AI development:

Understanding of the EU AI Act & GDPR
Know the legal obligations that apply to AI systems and their development processes.

Technical Risk Awareness
Identify potential safety, security, and robustness risks in AI systems during development.

Bias Detection & Mitigation
Recognize and reduce bias in data selection, labeling, model training, and evaluation.

Transparency & Explainability
Apply methods that improve the traceability and interpretability of models and outcomes.

Human-Centered Design
Ensure that AI supports meaningful human oversight and respects user autonomy

Certification Process

1. Training

The candidate completes a training program focused on EU regulations, ethical standards, and AI development practices.

2. Examination

The candidate takes an exam that assesses both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in responsible AI development.

3. Certification

Upon successful completion, the developer is awarded the CRAID certificate.

4. Stay Certified

The certification is valid for 3 years. Within this period, candidates can earn credits through continued learning to extend their certification — or undergo a full reassessment after 3 years.
